Process
A combination of analytics platforms and technical tools were used to assess both user behavior and underlying site performance of The Arizona Hiking Shack's website. User behavior was analyzed using the company's Google Analytics GA4 data to evaluate traffic distribution, engagement, and page performance. Technical crawling was attempted using Screaming Frog SEO Spider software to analyze site structure, internal linking, crawl depth, and and accessibility. Page performance testing was performed with Google PageSpeed Insights to assess load times and Core Web Vitals metrics. Lastly, HTTPS security implementation was manually validated.
The audit followed a structured process. With each section of the audit:
Data was collected from analytics and crawling tools
Technical issues impacting SEO performance were identified
Data was interpreted and technical data was used to determine likely root causes
Issues were prioritized based on impact to visibility, engagement, and conversions
